         Get ready for some pampering.  Below are eight great simple recipes to pamper your body with.  They are quick and easy to make in your own kitchen.  They leave your skin feeling and looking like you've been at the spa all day!

 

            Raspberry Lip Moisturizer

1 Raspberry

2 Tablespoons aloe vera gel

2 Tablespoons honey

 

In a small bowl, mash the raspberry with a fork:combine with the aloe vera gel and honey.  Apply mixture to lips, then try to avoid licking the balm off for at least 10 minutes before wiping away raspberry seeds with a tissue.  Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, and apply as often as needed.

Benefits:  Aloe vera helps heal sun damage, honey hydrates and softens lips, and the raspberry's seeds slough away dead skin.

Melon Skin Reviver

1 Cup Cantaloupe

 

Mash cantaloupe in a bowl.  Apply to clean face and neck.  Lie down and let dry 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Benefits:  Cantaloupe is high in antioxidants vitamins C and A, which help heal inflammation and protect your skin from UV damage.

 
Minty Sole Softner
 

15 Fresh mint leaves(or 6-8 drops peppermint oil)

1/2 Cup brown sugar

1/2 Cup sweet almond oil

 

Crush mint leaves(dont't chop:crushing brings out the oils in the leaves)with the back of a spoon. In a bowl, combine mint(or peppermint oil), sugar, and almond oil.  Scrub feet with mixture, paying special attention to rough spots.  Rinse and dry your feet.

Benefits:  Brown sugar exfoliates, sweet almond oil moisturizes, and the mint leaves give your soles and senses a refreshing lift.

 
       Yogurt Razor Bump Soother
 

1 Cup Plain Yogurt

1/2 Medium Cucumber, peeled and chopped

 

Purée the yogurt and cucumber in a blender.  Then put the mixture in a bowl.  Sit on the bathroom floor on a towel, and apply the mixture to your bikini area.  Grab a magazine and wait 15 minutes.  Then rinse with cool water.  Try using this recipe either after shaving or whenever you have a minor razor-bump breakout.

Benefits:  The cucumber acts as an anti-inflammatory to calm shaving irritation, while the yogurt's lactic acid gently exfoliates your skin to help prevent future ingrowns.

 
Strawberry T-Zone Zapper
 

1/2 Cup Strawberries

1 Teaspoon Honey

1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

 

Using a fork, mash the strawberries into a pulp.  Mix the strawberries, honey, and lemon juice in a small bowl.  Apply to face and leave on 8-10 minutes.  Wash off with a mild cleanser and warm water.  Tip:  Use the mask in the evening, because the lemon's citric acid can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.

Benefits:  The strawberries and lemon juice, both natural astringents, tighten and cleanse pores.  And the honey moisturizes.

 
Applesauce Deep Cleanser
 

2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar

3 Tablespoons Applesauce

2 Teaspoons Olive Oil

 

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and stir well.  In the bathtub or shower, apply the scrub in a circular motion to the areas below the neck where breakouts are most common.  Rinse.

Benefits:  Apples are high in malic acid and amylase enzymes, which slough away dead skin and dirt that can clog pores and cause breakouts.  Sugar polishes away rough spots.  And olive oil helps leave skin feeling soft and smooth.

 
Coconut Hair Healer
 

1/2 Large Avocado(pit removed)

1 Ounce Coconut Oil

 

Scoop avocado from rind and place in a bowl.  Add coconut oil and blend with a fork to create a creamy paste.  Massage the paste into wet hair, the use a wide tooth comb to distribute evenly.  Leave on hair for 20 minutes, then rinse out and shampoo as usual.  Use once or twice a week.

Benefits:  Avocado has hair strenghtening proteins and vitamins, while the coconut oil, rich in vitamin E, moisturizes and enhances shine.

 
Beer Frizz Tamer
 

1 Ounce beer

 

Pour the beer into a spray bottle.  After Showering, spritz it on wet hair from roots to ends.  Spread it evenly with a comb, then blow dry hair as usual.  Ifyou're worried about the smell, choose a light beer, which has a milder scent.

Benefits:  Beer yeast is rich in protein and vitamin B, which help flyaway hairs stay put and add shine.
